TIDE 2.0 – Entrepreneur-in-Residence
(EIR) Program
Overview
The TIDE 2.0 EIR (Entrepreneur-in-Residence) is a 12-month fellowship program funded by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), delivered through incubators like SIIC at IIT Kanpur. The initiative promotes ICT-enabled tech entrepreneurship by offering financial support and incubation to innovators working on emerging technologies such as IoT, AI, Blockchain, Robotics, and more.
Eligibility
- Applicant should be an Indian citizen
- Graduate in Sciences/ Engineering/ Biotechnology/ Medicine etc.
- Individual/team should have an idea/prototype
- The solution should be ICT enabled serving a pressing problem across any of the above mentioned domains
- At least one member from the team should be willing to pursue the idea full time
Offerings:
Selected Fellows receive:
- A fellowship of ₹4 lakh for the year.
- Access to IIT Kanpur’s infrastructure – labs, workspaces, and more.
- Exposure to industry networks and investors through SIIC’s ecosystem.
- Eligibility for other SIIC programs, providing continued support beyond the fellowship.

- Call for Applications opens on the SIIC website.
- Internal Review of all applications.
- Shortlisting followed by presentations to a selection committee.
- Final Selection announcement of successful EIR fellows.
